OUR STORY
In the spring of 2021, we dreamed of life along the North Aegean shore; we started with just one wooden house. Just like the poem by A. Tanpinar, we spent a summer where everything felt as if it was where it was meant to be. We wanted to expand on this feeling, and this year we were able to fulfill this dream. Now at Assos Sizin Ev, we have grown to 7 houses.
We are located in Büyükhusun, which is 8.5 km from Assos in the Ayvacık district of Çanakkale, where they still leave their homes unlocked. This village has magnificent views, such as being able to see the sea from here in the valley! The Greek island of Lesbos is right in front of you, Ayvalık islands on your right, Kadırga bay to your right…the fresh air from the Kaz mountains, absolute silence apart from the occasional sound of bells from a herd of sheep. Being away from city life gives you the most incredible views of the night sky as you can see millions of stars twinkling above. Away from the crowds, close to the clouds…
The valley is filled with almond, pear, red plum, and pink pepper trees. Clusters of willows, various shades of pink hollyhocks, lavender along the shoreline, fresh herbs, and even corals in the sea…

Each house comes fully furnished with a TV, dishwasher, fireplace, and air conditioning. Our kitchens come fully stocked, only requiring you to make a quick stop at the market. Towels, toilet paper, and even hand soap are provided for you making our houses ready to live in and use as your own…
SMALL FAMILY HOUSES
We have three small houses, which is ideal for a family of 4. The ground floor has an open kitchen, a living room, and a bathroom. The living room has a fireplace and sofa that turns into a double bed and opens to the terrace. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with its own bathroom and dressing area. You may enjoy the balcony with an incredible view of the Aegean Sea there.
LARGE FAMILY HOUSES
We have four larger houses, which is ideal for a family of up to 7. The ground floor has a two-person bedroom, an open kitchen, a living room, and a bathroom. The living room has a fireplace and sofa that turns into a double bed and opens to the terrace. Upstairs there is another double bedroom, a single room, and a bathroom. Here you may enjoy the balcony with an incredible view of the Aegean Sea.
SHORELINE
We are 6 km away from the shoreline, only a 5-minute drive. There you will find the restaurant Balıkçı İzzet'in Yeri which we have special prices with. Kadırga Bay is only 7.5 km away as well both have sparkling blue waters and clean beaches. Soon we will have our pool available in the center of our seven houses to help cool off in the heat.
A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP
Assos has a nice breeze of fresh air which helps you fall asleep. For your comfort, we chose our master beds very carefully. Made of only the best cotton and foal feathers and a German spring system that is handmade. You can adjust the mattress’s firmness to your liking.
We have two types of pillows available; one made of buckwheat and the other of goose-down feathers. Our Iyi Uyku orthopedic buckwheat pillows are like medicine for those suffering from back and neck pain or insomnia. Our cotton is 100% ecologically conservative. These pillows are known as “sobakawa” pillows originating from the Japanese culture. The buckwheat helps to keep the pillows cool all night long as it provides air circulation. Even in the summer heat, these pillows keep cool. The best part is as you move in your sleep the pillow has a micro-massaging effect from the buckwheat hulls.
All of our goose pillows are made of EDFA-approved goose-down feathers. All of our linens are made of organic cotton.

Once you have confirmed your reservation, we will reach out to you to pay for your stay in advance.
Check-in starts at 2 pm, and check-out ends at 11 am, where Ms. Yeşim greets you at your pre-selected home. She will tell you everything you need to know and can answer any questions you may have and wishes you a good holiday. Upon check-out, she will check for any missing or broken furnishings and will require payment for any such items if needed.
